1/2 the time purple screen when resizing windows

This problem started maybe a week or two ago. Whenever I alt-tab into a fullscreen game (like overwatch, that kind of screwed me over in competitive lol), or simply resize a windowed game, the screen turns purple about half the time. The weird thing is, it's *only* games. File explorer, Google Chrome, spotify, discord, task manager, msi afterburner etc don't do this. What could possibly be the problem? I assume it's not my Graphics card (970) because it's low temperature and not very overclocked.

Download and reinstall the GPU drivers.

Reduce the overclocking even more.
