hello, so i've been using ocgenie for a very long time now but recently i got a program that told me the voltages for each core(hardwaremonitor) and for some reason, while the cpu is idle the core voltage is higher. While gaming, the voltages for each core are at about 1.196 but it stays at 1.201 while idle. First of all is this normal? my temperatures are kinda okay (30-49c while running chrome and other minor stuff and 50-59c under load). Are these voltages okay? any particular reason as to why the voltages are higher on idle, or is this program just reading it wrong? also am i suppose to be looking at the individual core voltages or the Vcore? for Vcore it says 1.176 for max and 1.120 for minimum

auto overclocking on all mobos has dynamic voltage control, always results in higher values that actualy needed. you just have to live with it. remaining at 4.2 will be just fine with auto voltage. above that, manual o/c is recommended else vcore will skyrocket!
okay, thanks for the info, but is the reason why my cpu voltage is slightly lower under load related to vdroop and Load Line Calibration?(not sure what they even do)
I'm not even sure if i have these 2 settings enabled or not. All i did was enable OCgenie and just left it on and haven't messed with it for several years so i don't know what settings it's actually using for the overclock.

looks like your cpu needs less voltage than the one applied. LLC should gradually be increased proportionally with o/c . use default settings, stresstest and see where vcore will climb to . that will be your starting voltage point. increase multiplier and only when it fails increase voltage.use the smollest step avaliable on your bios. stop when load temps reach mid 70s.

I'm not actually interested in overclocking manually, i was just wondering if this is normal for OCgenie itself. I don't want to overclock manually since i don't know what i'm doing and I've been running OCgenie for several years already.
