1.4 GHz P3 w/820 Chipset?

Hi. I have a question I have tried to research, no luck. I know the 1.4 GHz Slot 1 P3 could be used with the old BX chipset MB's that had previously been limited to 1 GHz.

I have a Dell Precision 420 MB that did use the new 820 chipset with RAMBUS. Will the 1.4 run on mine too? Thanks!

AFAIK that was a FCPGA2 s370 chip. There are a couple of adapters that will enable it to run on some older chipsets, with slot one. Better to wait for Crashman for the straight goods though.

Hmm, a Dell, there MIGHT be BIOS trouble, then again, maybe not. Is it Slot-1? If so, go to www.upgradware.com and check their compatability list.
