my power supply doesn't have a 6pin connector for my graphics card, was wondering if this was safe to use

What card and PSU?

They do work, but they are not recommended by any means.

i also have a 2 molex to 1 6pin adapter, should i use that instead?

not really sure what the power supply is

The dual 4pin to 6 would offer more stable power, the 7850 dosent draw much power. You should be fine.
