I made my first build and i have only one 8gb corsair xms3 memory and i was wondering if i got a second one exactly like this one would my computer activate dual channel?

Another identical stick should work fine. If you have any problem, Corsair is usually willing to trade you for a matched pair. Dual channel is definitely preferred.

Yes, just put it into the correct slot, usually 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 but many motherboard color code the memory slots to match up for dual channel.
