I'm planning to have dual display, currently I have only 1 18.5 led display monitor which sadly only have a vga port and I have my graphics card MSI GTX 950 2G GDDR5 and it has 1 DVI-I port and 4 HDMI ports, the DVI-I port is occupied with my current monitor (VGA to DVI-I) and so I'm planning to buy a HDMI monitor and my only question running on my mind is, can i do dual display with a 1 vga monitor (VGA to DVI-I connector) and a 1 HDMI monitor? would they work (dual display)?

So you mean, If I have 1366x768, I must also get a monitor which has a resolution of 1366x768?

In our office, I have seen dual display with different resolution monitors (e.g. 1 1366 x 768 and 1 1920x1080), can you explain more that please? I probably get an full hd monitor (1920x1080) for the second monitor, my current monitor has 1366x768 res.

Let's say your monitor is 1366x768 as the maximum and you do buy one that is 1920x1080 (1080p). Just as long as the 1080p monitor has the scaling to go down to 1366x768, going into dual monitor mode WILL work.

I see, would it be okay or can work if the first monitor is VGA (actually vga to dvi-i as my graphics card has a dvi-i and no vga port) and the second one is HDMI?

thank you :) one last question. Would it work also if 1 dvi-i form my graphics card (vga monitor to dvi-i) and one vga monitor too but only connect to vga port on the motherboard?
