Question 1 Front USB port would charge but doesnt recognize any device

Hey so basically I've got a masterbox lite 5 rgb case with 2 front USB ports they both used to work but now the one to the left stopped working. Weirdly enough whenever I plug in my phone or headset it charges them but doesnt recognize them. So basically power is running through it but it's not recognizing a thing. My motherboard is an Asus z370-e. I've tried multiple things including installing the drivers and turning off my PC and leaving it for a while with no avail.
