I need to set up the following for working at home and gaming:
  • Gaming PC w/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (PNY)
    • 1xHDMI
    • 1xDVI-D
    • 1xVGA*
  • Macbook Pro (2019)
    • 4xThunderbolt 3
    • CalDigitTS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 Dock
      • 2xThunderbolt3 ports
      • 5xUSB-A
      • 2xUSB-C
      • 1xDisplayPort
  • HP 27wm
    • 1xHDMI
    • 1xDVI-D
    • 1xVGA*
  • HP 27xw
    • 1xHDMI
    • 1xVGA
*VGA is not an option

Ideally I would have a switch that would allow me to go between PC and MacBook and still have extended display.

The issue is not the software or the connections or the cables. My problem is I need a switching solution that doesn't cost an arm and a leg so I do not need to get up and unplug my monitors from the back of my tower and plug them into the CaDigit dock and back again.

I really don't want to have to duff completely good monitors just so I can have an elegant solution.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Lisa B.
