Hello all, I am having a problem with this pc build. I'll try to be as detailed as possible.
My psu on my old pc died about a week ago so I decided it was time to upgrade to a new system. I bought a new mobo, cpu, gpu, ram and a case. I got the optical drive and 3 Hdds from the old pc, and a psu from a different pc. The hdds are a 500gb used for media storage, games, movies, music etc. The other 2 are I believe 64gb hdds, one had windows 7 installed and the other was just additional storage that I don't think had anything actually on it.
Now here is where I'm running into problems. I connected all 3 hdds and inserted my win 7 install disk. ONLY the 500gb hdd showed up. I checked BIOS and it is the only drive showing. I unplugged it and tried again. Now nothing shows up. Plugged one of the other hdds into the same port with the same cables that were in the 500gb and still nothing. I have tried just about every combination of cables and ports and no matter what the only drive that shows up is the 500 gb. So I had enough space to install windows on the 500 gb so I could at least start up the pc. Checked device manager and only shows the 500gb. I am pretty sure the others are still good as they were working in my old pc just a week ago. I can feel a slight vibration from them when the pc is running. That's pretty much where I am now. Is there anything else I can try to get these drives to show?
