1 Headjack for desktop Mic not working

I have a headset with 1 jack how do i allow my desktop to use 1 jack for audio and mic?

If i understand you right, you want headphones and mic working in the audio out jack?

You can see how that wont be possible, and is why there's a reason for line-in/mic inputs jacks.
