As the title says, I have 1 work laptop, 1 personal pc and I'd like to switch between the two with my single keyboard and mouse. I know typically a KVM switch would work but it seems those typically are HDMI exclusively. The problem is the laptop only has a displayport jack...and...my 34" monitor only has 1 displayport and 1 hdmi input...so I'm thinking I would need a KVM switch that switch between displayport and hdmi....anyone know of one or a possible other solution?

Thanks

if the personal pc and work laptop not on at the same time, you can connect both to the monitor. or just switch the input source on the monitor

yea, the idea is, to be able to have both on, so that when work stuff is slow, I can switch to my home pc intermittantly and indulge in all my software ,etc on there lol....plus, I like the idea of using my wireless keyboard and mouse rather than the laptops keyboard and touchpad..
