Hello this past week I built my first computer and I want to figure out why my computer keeps either giving me 1 long beep and 3 short beeps and if I plug in a keyboard it changes to 1 long beep with 2 short beeps with no display?
I have both a external gpu and integrated one but both of them have the same problem. I checked every ram slot with my single ram stick and went into the bios one day so I left it as it was and unplugged everything. The next day when I went back to install the hdd it started to beep again. Here is my build:
AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2000 AMD AM3+ Motherboard M5A78L-M/USB3
Zotac Gtx 950
Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL9 @1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory Module BLS4G3D1609DS1S0
Seagate ST3250310CS 250GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.5" Internal Desktop Hard Drive
Rosewill Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
Antec VP-450 Power Supply

This is the list of common beep codes and their cause.

How to Interpret Computer Error Beep Codes

When the computer makes those funny sound via the system speaker, it's not doing it because it wants to be heard. The computer is trying to talk to the operator/technician and tell them what's wrong.

Beep Codes:

No Beeps: Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals

One Beep: Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine

Two Beeps: POST/CMOS Error

One Long Beep, One Short Beep: Motherboard Problem

One Long Beep, Two Short Beeps: Video Problem

One Long Beep, Three Short Beeps: Video Problem

Three Long Beeps: Keyboard Error

Repeated Long Beeps: Memory Error

Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps: CPU Overheating

Have you tried the GPU in a friends system? Is it plugged into the power supply with a PCI-e power connector?

By stripping do you mean taking everything out of the case and then putting it back together ?
If so after stripping it how would I know what is causing the problem? For example if I take everything apart would I have to turn the pc on every single time I add a new piece for me to hear the error code?

Sorry for not responding to this sooner. So I did what you asked I disconnected hdd, graphics card, and I don't have an odd. I put in 1 stick of ram and I boot up the pc I still keep getting the 1 long beep and 3 short beeps.

I figured out that my hdmi cable was the problem so now it still beeps but it displays the bio for me it still doesn't detect my graphics card so I am guessing I have to activate the slot for it. Also I am using integrated graphics to see the bios.
