USB 3.0 is enabled in bios and I have a Transcend brand USB 3.0 8GB stick. The copying rate is around 1 mbytes/sec.
It even showed up in drive list after a long delay when I plugged it in.
It copies faster on a modern Dell laptop. So the USB stick is not broken.
Dell laptop runs Ubuntu 12.04, while Lenovo runs Windows 8.1 64bit.
I don't see any USB 3.0 driver on Lenovo Yoga 13's driver page.
The driver I see on device manager is
Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)
Driver date 6.10.2014

This is awfully slow. I tried both USB ports and they are same slow. What can I do?

I made some improvement. Now it is around 12 MBytes/sec instead 1 Mbyte/s.
When I click on the usb icon in status bar, it said "Eject VirtualBox USB". I was suspicious about that VirtualBox thingy so I uninstalled Oracle VirtualBox, and plugged the USB drive. It still says Eject VirtualBox USB but at least faster. Any idea if it is related to speed or is it just coincidence?

Arrrrr! It was not the reason. Only when I insert the usb stick slowly, it is a bit faster. But it was not 12 mbytes/sec. It is only 6 mb/sec 🙁
