Hello,

I have tested each of my two RAM sticks individually (Part# CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16) on each DIMM slot for dual channel on my motherboard (Slot 2 & 4) and come up with 0 errors after 4/4 passes using memtest86 WITHOUT XMP enabled.

The problem arises when I enable XMP, then when I test the sticks together, I always get 1 error on Test 4 after 4/4 passes. Is there something wrong with the RAM, the XMP setting, or the motherboard slots? Or even possibly something wrong with the voltage?
I have a feeling that one error is causing an occasional crash on my PC that occurs maybe once or twice every two weeks.

Specs for reference:
  • Ryzen 3600 @ 3.6Ghz
  • MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB RAM 3200Mhz (CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16)
  • Corsair H60 AIO Liquid Cooler
  • MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3070
  • XPG Core Reactor 750W 80+ Gold PSU
  • Samsung 850 EVO 256GB + WD 1TB Blue
  • Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB Case

latest bios?
is there more than 1 memory profile?
Using latest non-beta version of BIOS (7C02v39 ).

There are 2 memory profiles. I'm using the first one.
As a side note, I tried using DRAM calculator instead and inputting the timings manually but it just resulted in a blue screen so I just loaded optimized bios settings.
