Hi

So I have a Sapphire Radeon RX480, the card has only one HDMI port and 3 DisplayPorts. My motherboard is an Asus Z170-P and has an HDMI port.

I want to add a second monitor but seeing as i have a few spare HDMI cables laying around, I would hate to have to buy a $40 HDMI to DisplayPort adapter (according to BestBuy.ca)

Would there be an issue in plugging the second monitor in the motherboard directly? It would be used for web / possibly youtube & netflix

You can try it. It won't hurt anything, but it may not work properly or could have performance issues in the game. Your best bet is to buy a display port to hdmi cable from amazon or something. They are much cheaper there.
