Hey everyone!

I have a laptop with 2 sticks of Gskill DDR4 16gb RAM. Model number - F4-2133C15D-32GRS.

I have one stick that will not boot in either slot, where the other stick is working great. I can not run any tests as will not boot or show up as present in the machine. So I am assuming that it is dead.

Can I replace with a single stick? model - F4-2133C15S-16GRS. Same exact specs, just is a single stick rather than a set. timings, voltage, clock are the same.

Also, anyone have any luck with Gskill and their warranty? Would this be covered?

I really appreciate your help!

They should be covered under a product lifetime warranty but it'd never hurt to contact them. On another note, you should proceed with a RMA asap. Just to be sure, does the functioning stick of ram work in the other slot? Kit's come binned according to their assembly line so I'd advise to stick with a kit. If you're very desperate, then go for it but if things get unstable, you know what to pull out(not your hair :) ).

Thanks for your response!

The other stick works in both slots, where this one will not boot in either. Am I missing something or does that mean its most likely dead?

I will contact them and see what they say.

Thanks again
