Question 1 of 2 M.2 slots functioning

Just got a second M.2 drive - WD Blue 3D NAND Internal SSD M.2 SATA - 1 TB, also have a crucial 500gb. Both work in one (the same) m.2 slot (listed in BIOS as SATA0) on my Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming-CF, but the second slot (SATA1) doesn't appear to be picking either up - stating simply [Not installed].

Windows Disk Management also only picks up the M2 in the SATA0 slot.

BIOS is on 05.0000C right now.

Any suggestions?

Per your MB's specs, only one of the slots is SATA or PCI-e capable, and the other slot is PCI-e (X4/X2 lanes) only....

Naturally, half of the combinations you try when using a SATA M.2 drive will be inoperative...
