1 pin left?

when i plug my fan cabel in my mobo, there is 1 pin left over.
is this normal?

Most fans are 3 or 4 pin. I think you have a 3 pin fan plugged into a 4 pin slot. This should be fine, but verify that your fan works.

yeah i think i can tell in 3 or 4 days, really struggling to build my system
