1 psu to power multiple computers

I was thinking of getting say a 2k psu and power 3 different computers is this a bad idea or not.

My idea was to make a locker and mount the bords on one wall and put the psu in the middle range behind for clean cable routing then make a single loop to liquid cool all the computers. And make a spot to rack hdds

Sure if you get all the cabling for multiples, but then you have a single point of failure. One supply goes down all PC's go with it.

Bad idea.

One problem is that a motherboard is responsible for turning on the psu.

You can't have three different motherboards turning the single psu on or off.

Probably cheaper to get three lesser power supplies anyway.

I was of a similar opinion. You probably would end up having to get special adapters and doing things it wasn't really meant to do

What would be a good option case wise I was thinking of getting or making a server rack. I wanted to have a nas, server and sli gaming in the same box and set up a bunch of 560mm radiators to cool everything
