Question 1 ram not being used

I have 2 sticks of 4gb ram ddr3 but only one is being recognised, in bios it says that i have 8gb of ram but when i boot up only 3.92 are usable

had the same problem with ddr4 gskill tridentz. the memory was dead sent to RMA took 6 months to come back lol xD gave me a new one now works. You can try change mem chanel and run with only 1 memory, so you make sure which one is not working or if both work.

Google MemTest (I’m on my phone). Run this for several passes to test the RAM and let us know if errors are reported.
