I recently bought a Seagate 1 TB Desktop HDD for my computer and it shows up as 8 MB. I tried formatting it, but it still shows up a 8 MB.

Check those and make sure they are properly seated. Sometimes sata cables can be a bit wonky especially if they are not the type that lock in.

That 9MB is just unallocated space on your old harddrive, the new harddrive isn't showing at all. It should show as a separate Disk 1 under Disk 0 on the left side of the partition view. Have you checked if your computers bios is detecting the new drive?

Edit. You seem to have a HP desktop, the key to enter bios during bootup should be F10 (or esc).

It doesn't show up. https://imageshack.us/i/ex1VpGQUj Maybe I didn't plug in the cables correctly.

I remember once I had this kind of problem with a SD card. It's 8gb, but it showed as 4gb.
I'd try it: http://www.electroons.com/blog/2013/02/how-to-recover-the-unallocated-space-on-your-sd-card-due-to-raspberry-pi-os/
