1 TB HDD shows only 4.1 GB in the BIOS

Hello, I just bought a 1 TB HDD for my Desktop PC. Earlier I had two 250 GB ones. So I exchanged one of them with new 1 TB HDD. I installed Win xp in 250 GB HDD and Win Vista in 1 TB HDD. Both worked for about a month. But, suddenly my comp failed to boot. I found in the BIOS that my 1 TB HDD is shown as 4.1 GB. How shall I correct this problem? Please HHHEEELLLLLLLPPPP !!!

I am using Seagate HDD Can you help me in finding out the diagnostics. Pllleeeeaaaase....

Did that. It gave the result as 'Failed'. So contacted Seagate. They acknowledge that the HDD is bad.
