Mmm, we already have reached the time that the computer is waiting for us (when we work), so any other technical improvements will make us happy because of greater numbers coming from "parallel benchmarking applications". While we we are still waiting from Microsoft, a totally stable OS and free from potential external attacks. Linux ? fast, rocksolid and bunker-like for external hackers. but without the tons of applications (and drivers) which are the railway for MS OS.
