So I've got $10,000, give or take, to spend on a high end gaming desktop. I feel like that much money should give me a crazy good computer but I'm a tad new to building myself. By building myself I mean building from a website because I don't have the time to build a desktop on my own. I know it's a lot of money but I've got my reasons. Anyways, I've spent a lot of my PC gaming time on a laptop, constantly overheating and driving me crazy. I want something that can run just about anything on maximum setting with a nice smooth frame-rate. I've got a build on a website called iBuyPower.com but if you have a suggestion for a different website don't hesitate to let me know. I've got a build kind of outlined right now, I'll post it below, but I need to know a bit about it before I drop that kind of money on a computer. I will only be using one monitor and I'm aware some of it is quite overkill but I don't want to have to replace anytime soon. Also if you know how long something like this should last that would be good to know too. Let me know what you think of the website/build I have or just suggest something completely different. Any feedback is appreciated.

Sorry to seem to be the one that wants to bust bubbles but if I were you Id spend 3,000-5,000 and buy a 5,000 CD or dotate it to charity if you have too much money to worry about saving.

Even spending what I suggested is overkill and will be old hardware in less than 2 years from now but even I would love to spend that much if I were starting from scratch and wanted to go over the top with full blown water cooling.

Its a waste to spend that much but if you're in that place in your life it doesn't effect your finances, Go for it!

Some of these websites are a bit complicated, though I'm liking them more than iBuyPower, I've heard some bad things about them which is the main reason I came here. If you've got suggestions for builds I would really appreciates.

$10,000 and an AsRock MoBo ??????

3 way SLI Titans lose to 2 waty SLI Titans IN BF3 for example

Two or more GTX Titans make sense only if you will game on three or more monitors and want to max out graphics settings. A second Titan is even required to get a smooth experience in certain games with three monitors and maximum settings. For a single Full HD monitor and max settings a single GTX Titan is more than enough for the current crop of games.

Here ya go:

Case of your aesthetic choosing
Corsair AXi 1200
Asus Maximus VI Extreme (4 way SLI capable)
(2 x 8GB) Muskin CAS 9 DDR3-1866
2 x ASUS GTXTITAN-6GD5 GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB
Mascool G751 Shin-Etsu Thermal Interface Material
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB
2 x Samsung 840 Pro 512GB
Asus Blue Ray Burner
3 x ASUS VG248QE Black 23" 144 Hz TN Monitor (You did say gaming so no IPS)
Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses Kit
KB and Mouse that strikes ya fancy
Windows 7 64 Bit Professional OEM
Custom WC rig like this.....

Come to think of it....call this guy up and he'll prolly sell ya his rig with a pair of Titans for $10k .... I priced out the parts for his WC setup ....about $1300.....about $500 for just the black fittings.

I think I've actually got a nice build on http://build.falcon-nw.com/ though I could be wrong, feedback is helping quite a bit, and I know nothing needs 3 titans so there might be a point where I cut some of it down, I just don't want to worry about replacements a year or two later. The tip about something with a higher resolution was nice, I don't think I'm buying from iBuyPower anymore. If there's a way I could copy/paste the parts I've got on the http://build.falcon-nw.com/ I'd put it here now but I'm trying out each one, getting way better prices there too.

My Build On http://build.falcon-nw.com/

Chasis - ICON2 Black Anodized

Chassis Fan Kit - Performance Fan Pack

Sound Dampening - AcoustiPack Sound Dampening Foam

Power Supply - SilverStone 1200 Watt Modular

Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme

Processor Intel Core i7 3970X 3.5GHz

Processor Cooler - Asetek Liquid Cooling - Mach V

Memory - 1866MHz 8x8GB (64GB)

Video Card 1, 2, and 3 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB

Monitor - Asus 27" 2560x1440

Sound Card - Creative Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion

Hard Drive 1 and 2 - Crucial M500 SSD 960GB

Hard Drive 3 and 4 - Wester Digital Black 1TB (HDD)

Optical Drive - Asus 12x BluRay Writer

That's the important stuff I think, the only problem I have with the Mach V is the case, I just think it's boring. I'm kind of surprised how much it bothers me but I'm sure I'd get over it. It's actually a bit better I think and it costs a little less. Anyways, better this time? Also I'm thinking of ditching the 3rd Titan graphics card in exchange for a few other things but I'm not quite sure yet. Even if you don't know how good this would run everything I mainly need to know that it won't overheat. I get about 30-45 minutes of good gaming time on even low settings on some games before my laptop is scorching, got it a while back so it's showing it's age.
