They should re-think that now that the difficulty slider is working.

Especially when the last glowie (of the 4) is in the room with the
boss.

Can't see how people have gotten this done without super-speed/phase
shift.

Or a regen scrapper with Dull Pain and Conserver Power (from Bof=dy
Pool) running.

I did it at unyielding with about 15 seconds to spare. And that was
without 'arresting' every mob i saw, just running past them taking
damage, until I had to fight because of the location of the glowie.

If it wasn't part of the arc for Anti-matter and Neuron I would have
skipped it entirely.

If this is the mission I think it is, you aren't meant to be able to do
it.

Yeah, the Devs deliberately put in a mission with an absurdly low timer
on it that you're supposed to fail.

Conserve power, why would a regen scrapper need that?
I used to solo Giant Monsters, and some of them would take 20 minutes of
constant hitting to kill. Could have taken 2hours each and I still
wouldn't have run out of end or had to use a cab.

My attacks have only a single end reducer in them, I'm on perma hasten,
and I run tough/instant healing/integration/focused accuracy all the
time. Most of the times, i forget to turn off sprint, which is original
slot with speed.

I use Air Superiority, Storm Kick, Crane Kick, and Eagle's Claw as my
attacks.

They each have 1 Accuracy, 4 Damage, and 1 End reducer. I also have
Dragon's Tail slotted with only 1 Accuracy.

I may not be a major damage dealer, but I last a long time without
RA/HA/Fort/CM.......

Until the toggles drop, then my face has a race with them to the
pavement.

I did solo Winter lord, in Bricks and in Steel.....took about 20
minutes each one and my health/endurance never went below half....cause
when it did----dull pain and some CABs.....

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they intend. It struck me as a
mission that they wanted you to have a very slim chance of succeeding,
because failing is actually the best way to advance the plotline of
the arc.

How much XP did you get from soloing the Winterlord?

I got this done with an Invuln Tanker and a Empath, SS, no Phase
shift.

I distracted, she grabbed the glowies.

We were on unyielding.

There seems to be no shortage of arc missions in which you fail even when
you succeed and recover the artifact, save the hostage, etc. - only to be
told it was restolen, recaptured, lost, so forth.

That's the contacts. We need to start using superglue to attach the
artifact, hostage, whatever, to the contact. I figure that they'll
either stop losing stuff of at least be closer and more accessable when
you get the whatsit back the second and third times.

....which, I imagine, is the case if you succeed this one. However, for
storyline purposes, it just seems much more appropriate that you fail
outright. It was pretty obvious from the outset to me that this was
meant to have a high likelihood of failure. Kind of a setup for just
how tough of an enemy you're dealing with.

The contacts?? How about house arrest for some of the people!!

There is some guy at the beginning of the Vahz missions (I think it is the
2nd one) that always gets kidnapped. I think that I have saved him 5 or 6
times now. I tried to figure out how I can let him die, but I just can't.

That and the fortune teller, who I swear has been crossed with some sort of
fly. Why else would she always get kidnapped by the CoT?? "No, don't go
towards the glowing green light, you stupid twit!!"

When I did it with my scrapper I got about 5k, I think.

You tended to get the same as when in teams because of the way monster xp
is worked out.
