~$100 card for Asuz Z97 Mobo. Old man playing UT2k4

So, I'm an old-timer. I remember when UT99 first came out, and I didn't sleep for six months. There's still a small active community that plays these games.

My budget only allows for ~$100.

The article below calls out the MSI AMD Radeon HD 7770. Not sure if this is still a good choice, or if the article is still relevant:

Not sure if I can go up or down another $20 and make a nice jump, in case I want to play something more recent, like Bioshock.

Most of you young whippersnappers probably won't even understand what I'm referring to; however, what you will understand is that I built a new rig, and need a new graphics card.

Get the Zotac one. Cheaper but good performer.

And GTX 750Ti doesn't need xtra mainstream PSU.

You don't even need a card for Unreal Tournament 2004. It will play just fine on your integrated graphics. Hell, I managed to get a smooth 20 fps on GTA IV on normal settings on integrated graphics. It's not too 'hot', but for this, it's powerful enough.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. I have the Asus Z-97 pro, and the onboard video isn't bad. In quiet areas, I'm getting 80fps, but in the heat of battle it drops to <20 and gets sticky -> time to respawn. Thus, my hunt for a GPU.

Cant go wrong with the 750 ti. Low power usage and therefore low heat generation. Very efficient architecture.

Will blast all the older games on max settings with ease.
