Got my rig 2 months ago, today when I started playing I noticed terrible lag spikes and low FPS, so I turned on my afterburner and there are the results on battlefield 5

http://prntscr.com/oxd8fv

Same issues on gta 5, from stable 144fps to 70 fps with huge and constant lag spikes in a day

Specs:
RTX 2080
i5 9600k
32 GB Ram 3000Mhz
500 GB SSD

Solution
I personally think nothing is wrong here. The 9600 at 1440P is still being pretty stressed. BFV runs very well on multiple cores, and usually requires more than 8 threads to allow for more CPU headroom.
Its a perfectly fine 9600, and I don't see any alarm bells.

Battlefield V is a cpu demanding game. i5 9600k have only 6 threads this is normal. I have RTX 2080 and Ryzen 5 1600 that have double the threads than i5 and especially with RTX on i was always 100%. Also whats your screen resolution?
Its 2560 x 1440, the thing is it was never 100% it's been like this only since today

Are you sure there is not any background program that is using your cpu when you are playing? Did you recently updated bfv and anything changed in the video settings? Check if rtx , dlss is off and if something is changed.
I tested 2 games and I have the same issue, I havent touched my option, same on CSGO and no way in hell CSGO should lag on this kind of PC

The temp is between 50 and 60 C, unsure about the speed but will check later

There was a recent Nvidia driver update (at least on my system, I was perhaps a day or two late installing it)...perhaps you could remove/reinstall GPU software, or, perhaps if you have restore points enabled, effectively roll back to a few days just prior to the update....?

Nah, literally updated the drivers after it happened because I read it might fix the issue (which I doubted)

But right now its back to normal randomly so I'm not too sure whats happening
