Just built my first gaming pc to play newer games on high graphics. Installed Nioh to try and play it and it uses 100% of my cpu and runs very poorly. My setup is
CPU: i7-7700k
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX1080 8GB TURBO
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z270-A

I don’t know if this stuff just isn’t strong enough to run it or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your rig is like 1 step below ultimate so it should fly through the game. The CPU and GPU are well in excess of the recommended requirements listed on Game Debate
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=23724&game=Nioh
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4770K/3647vs1537
http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1080-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/3603vs3639

So the problem will lie elsewhere. You might first want to see what CPU tasks are consuming your CPU's time. Open Task Manager and sort descending on the CPU usage.
