It all started a few days ago.
I turned on my PC and it just started to lag really bad. I could barely open a Windows Explorer. I checked the Task Manager and found out that the CPU usage was 100%, and it was caused by (get this) Notepad. So I ended the process, but it didn't do any good. The 100% usage just changed to another process, explorer.exe. After I ended that as well, it kep jumping to another process and didn't stop.

So I restarted the PC a few days later and now, the CPU usage is at 100% again with System Idle Process. I'm pretty much outta ideas, so if anyone can help me, that'd be great.

restart into safe mode with networking and try from there... check the start up program list in start run msconfig and the services running also in msconfig, filter with hide ms services.

also try to run coretemp to make sure it's not overheating, but it looks like a software problem to me...

I forgot to mention, I already am in Safe Mode. And yes, I already did remove un-wanted start-up programs and disabled un-wanted services too. My Coretemp is fine as well...

I think I should just put this out there. A few weeks before, I did have a kinda of a virus infestation in my PC. I removed the threats with Kaspersky and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there, until of course, the 100% incident, which occurred after about 2 weeks.

I was pretty careful about infections and I'm pretty sure I didn't download/receive any malicious content. That being said, there is a possibility of a virus persisting, I know that. But even if there was one, why did it take so long for it to start acting up?

Btw, these are my computer specs:

And here's a screenshot of my task manager (Yeah, CPU usage is dominated by AdobeARMe.exe now)

P.S
Laviniu Campean, can you gimme a list of steps or something to do that scan with Kaspersky?
