100% disk usage & PC doesnt response

Hello Toms Hardware!

I have two problems, the first problem is that my "system" is taking up to 90% disk usage and sometimes im getting "lag spikes" and then my computer doesnt response for a few seconds and then later on it happens again.. It started to happened today the lagging part at least. So I hope you can help me

Check the SMART status of your hard drive, and run some diagnostics on it http://www.howtogeek.com/134735/how-to-see-if-your-hard-drive-is-dying/

It could be anything at this point. You could also try a deep malware scan.

I've recently discovered that the telemetry being uploaded to MS can do this. The solution is to open Settings -> Privacy and turn off the dozens of switches in the 16 different categories.
