I am running windows 10 on an i7 4790 3.6 which i have overclocked to 3.9. Would it being overclocked cause my HD to spike to 100% usage and cause my computer to lock up? I have disabled and got rid of Search and Fetch for nothing to happen, I have also disabled antimalware auto startups as another suggestion to not being fixed. I recently reinstalled windows 10 to my hard drive that fixed the problem for 3 days only to have it start doing it again. What could cause it to revert constantly to this problem?

Please press Control+Shift+Escape to open Task Manager. If there's only a few items in the window, press More Info at the bottom. Now that we're in the expanded view, navigate to the Startup tab and disable all programs that are not drivers. Anything that is named after a brand of device you have in your computer is a driver and should not be disabled or the system may become unstable.

Hi there SublimeBCM,

I would agree with Isokolon. Try booting into safe mode.

If this sorts the issue out, then all of this is caused by Win services. There are multiple threads on Win 10 100% disk usage issues.
Examples:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2813275/disk-usage-100.html

If the issue persists, then there could be something wrong with the drive. Just test it and back up the data if the HDD is failing: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
