Clean installed Windows 10 last night after installing a new kaby lake cpu. My issue is, I installed playerunknowns battlegrounds and it is completely stuck on loading screens. I can hear game audio, and voice chat but I'm still on a loading screen until someone punches me to death.

Opened task manager to see that my hdd is at 100% usage constantly, even idle with no programs open. So, I Google it and tried these fixes:

Disabled Windows search
Disabled superfetch

After disabling search the hdd drastically dropped to 1% idle, so I started the game back up only to see it spike to 100% again and remain there even after exiting the game. On to disable superfetch. Again, drastically dropped to 4% usage.

I noticed that my pc was only recognizing one stick of my dual channel ram. Opened the case and one of them was slightly loose, so it's been reseated. I had to leave the pc after that for work, do you think that was my issue? Of course I will try it again when I get home from work, I just want some reassurance that any of the last changes I did could resolve the issue. If not, what other solutions can I try?

Well i tried it yesterday and for the most part the disk usage wasn't very high, and the stutters stopped. It still spikes to 100% quite often, so I tried to use task manager to find out what was using the most write speed of the disk. I couldn't clearly identify which programs were causing it directly, but generally most of the programs that did spike were Windows programs. Antimaleware, system, ect.. and they would only hit maybe 2-4mb.

Most of the time it was like some hidden program was causing the spikes, because sometimes my disk usage would go to 100% and none of the task manger processes were hardly using my hdd. 0.9mb at the most. Is this because it's not updated fast enough on task manager? Or maybe, task manager doesn't show all currently running programs?

None of this interrupted my gameplay by stutters, fortunately. It just made it near impossible to alt + tab or do anything outside of the game. Closing it took about 3-4min also.
