100% Disk Usage

Ok so I just upgraded my PC, new mobo, CPU, and ram. Many problems so far, first being that I can only boot my pc with one ram stick ( all the slots and both sticks work) I assume it's because i need newer bios version but don't have USB drive available currently. Second problem is that when I open a game a immdeilty hit 100% disk usage and causes everything to run slowly. I googled it but all the fixes didn't seem to work (disabling things in services, turning off skype, turning off notifications, disabling a whole bunch of things) Any ideas?

Try differant SATA ports and cables. Make a new install USB and try the windows reinstall.

Different data cables didn't work, and I just reset my entire PC and still same issue.

Already tried that, pretty much anything you find I google I have most likely already tried

Have you check your drive using the drive makers tools? For WD use data lifeguard long test and for seagate use seatools smart, generic, and self test. Same goes for SSD for samsung use magician to check SSD health. Make sure their are no sector errors on the disk.

Ran the extended test for wd and i dont have an ssd so no need for that. The test took about 2 hours and said it passes. Not sure what else to do

there's a common fix for it which is disabling windows search in the services window, it worked for me but results may vary from user to user, you can revert the changes anytime too so there's no way you can screw up

Already tried this and unforutnely it didn't work

Don't even have one yet as I just reset the PC, unless windows defender counts as one?

i suppose your best bet is some application that is consuming your disk usage, i can't help you more than this since i don't have enough knowledge of this subject to help you

It's decently windows, I only had steam installed on the PC and was still getting issues. Currently doing clean install of windows which should hopefully fix it
