100% disk usage

Hello. My friend bought a new laptop and i installed windows 10 on it. After i installed it i saw that the disk usage was at 99%-100%. I tried to disable superfetch, windows search and windows update after the windows got the latest update 1803, and just about everything i found on the internet for a few hours. After failing every fix, i tried replacing my friends laptops hdd with my laptop hdd to see if the hdd was damaged. My laptop had windows 10 installed about a year ago on it and never had this problem. After i installed my hdd on my friends laptop and reinstalled windows 10 we still got 100% disk usage. So i put back my hdd in my laptop and his hdd in his laptop. After i put mine in my laptop i reinstall windows 10 and i see that now i get the 100% disk usage too. I saw that it goes to 100% disk usage when i use programs. For example, whenever i try to download games on steam i can't because it stops downloading because the hdd is at 99%-100%. Please help so i can fix my laptop and then my friends laptop. I tried everything i could find!

A new laptop should have already come with Windows 10 installed, why did you install your own Windows 10 on it? Swapping hard drives between laptops is not a good idea unless they are the exact same laptop since drivers would be different and it can cause issues.

Since this is a new laptop, contact the vendor for support, no need to be messing with it, and leave it on the original setup, at least till you know it's all working.

It did not come with windows 10 installed and no copy of windows, that is why i needed to install it on my own.
