100% gpu fan speed?

Are there any negative implications for running your fan speed at 100%(only during games)? I like to do it just cause I don't like those extra degrees of temperature lol.

Specs:
AMD Phenom II x2 (unlocked to x3) (stock cooler)
G. SKILL 4gb DDR3 - 1333
HIS Radeon 5770
GIGABYTE GA-790XTA-UD4
NZXT BETA EVO case.

When not running games, I turn it to auto fan speed. 35% fan speed I get around 51C. When at 100% and playing games like, tf2 and l4d2, I get around 61C. Any negative implications for running my fan at 100%?

From what I see, les performance. However, if you let the GPU adjust it to the required settings, you should see a drop in tems. The manufacturer does this for a reason, my friend.

Huh? I'm pretty sure running the fan speed at 100% as opposed to the auto fan control (around 60% fan speed), I get better temps. But will running the fan speed at 100% result in reduced life of the cooler or anything?
