My old HDD (WDC WD10EALX-229BA0) is running at 100% for approximately 15 minutes after u boot my computer. After that it drops to normal but whenever I open an application I haven't used on the session earlier, it goes to 100% again. I've tried everything I have found on the internet to fix the issue but nothing is working.

Also, I recently upgraded my hardware, not the HDD though. The computer is saying that my Windows isn't activated, but I've tried troubleshooting but nothing happens. It was all fine before the upgrades. In addition, I have used MSI's (I have a B150M Mortar mobo) Live Update to update my BIOS, and the application says it's the newest one, when on my system settings it says I have an "old" BIOS-version.

Dont know what to do, and was wondering do those other thing affect on the problem.
Thanks for your answer beforehand!

Take a look at Task Manager, Performance Monitor, and Resource Monitor to see what applications, services, and processes are running on your system.

You will also be able to identify what is using up your HDD "Resource" or otherwise note some other bottleneck.

Use CTRL + ALT + DEL to access and select Task Manager.

Clicking the "Ask me anything" box and begin typing in the name of the tool you wish to use. Should appear as a selectable option on the left side of the monitor screen.
