Recently bought GTA V for my PC, and my CPU, GPU and my RAM is all at 100% when I'm playing the game.

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500 @ 3.30GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8H61-M LE
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 280x 3GB DirectCUII TOP
Harddrive: Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series 256 GB

Both my motherboard and CPU is pretty outdated and I was just wondering if I will get any sort of perforamnce boost by upgrading my CPU, even though my GPU and RAM is also at 100% load?

I do run everything on high, which should take pretty much to run. How would you think I'd go about diagnozing the problem and pinpointing the issue?

These are the temps from coretemp about 10-15 min in. The frequency barely moved, it spiked from 3391 to 3291 from time to time but not too frequently. The results from furmark is on its way.

run the stresstest of furmark (burnin) and post the temp

boot memtest86+ from a USB thumb drive:

Any additional applications/tools running while gaming?

check SSD with AS SSD:

is the BIOS of your motherboard up to date ?

your CPU runs bit hot, look after the CPU cooler if it´s mounted correctly and the fan can spin freely. Reapply thermal paste. Buy a better cooler, e.g. evo 212 or the cheap Raijintek Aidos

But he is not throttling, doesn't address his original concern.

Sounds like to me, heavy gaming ALWYAS use all available CPU, even if you throw in a 16 cores. OP what is your exact complaint? low FPS? Stutter? Not running smooth enough?

I guess I don't really have one special concern, from my experience my CPU never runs at 100%. I was pretty much just looking if it was worth to upgrade my CPU and motherboard because they run at 100%, and if so would it increase my performance when my GPU also runs at 100%?
