$100 more for an extra 3GB worth it?

I just purchased a Gigabyte GTX 1060 3gb model since they were in stock. I see more and more people recommending the 6gb version now but it's $100 more for those 3 extra gigs. All I want to do is game at 1080p/60fps on high settings. Nothing fancy. Will 3gb of vram be okay? (CPU is i5-7600k Kaby lake)

No it's not worth it imo. it was only $50 more before price inflation due to cryptocurrency mining; which is slowly winding down and hopefully coming to an end. Then maybe prices will get back to normal. Release price on GTX 1060 6GB was $249 and up for premium models.
