Hi, this is my first post here so I'm not entirely sure that this is the right section, but it seems suitable for this question.
I have 16gb of ram, and a 18gb paging file on my SSD, but the paging file is always at 100% usage despite there being ram available. Is this normal?
Also, I know that frequent read/writes to an SSD can shorten its lifespan, but posts I read about using paging files on modern SSDs stated that it shouldn't be as much of a concern anymore so long as you have enough ram. Well I imagine 16gb of ram should be enough, but nevertheless the paging file is at 100% usage all the time, so I imagine this can't be good for my SSD. Do you recommend I disable the paging file, and if so, how much would that affect my performance and stability?
Specs as follows:
Windows 10
i5 4690k
GTX 980
16gb DDR3
1tb Samsung 850 evo
