I have a brand new chip here in the EVGA x99 micro, I'm hoping its a driver issue and maybe someone will enlighten me.

I can set voltages fine, with a restart, 1.35v run under 40c pretty nicely. Thats if I don't change the base clock freq. as soon as I do, even to 3.8 my computer restarts and the screen goes black and it shuts itself down. I can't check why because it wont even get into windows.
I'm stumped.

BIOS.jpg
disabled fivr still didn't solve the problem

It appears to be a x99 platform problem, as I'm reading threads of asus and msi bios doing the exact same thing. Might be linked to ddr4 voltages.
man oh man,

Have the exact same problem, using the asus x99-S with 5820k and crucial ballistix Sport.

Evverything is stable but as soon i try to touch the bclk or the ratio the system refuses to start windows.

I'm glad to hear it is so common.
I've been laughing I feel like we are beta testing x99 and ddr4.
Even having trouble msi afterburner. strange too because my r9 280A is rock solid. running 1140mhz and 1575mhz mem on stock voltages. No matter what I do in afterburner even 1.28v i can't get 1141 stable. lol
