Good day everyone,
I have a Republic of Gamers G750JW laptop, and ever since I upgraded to windows 10, I have a volume problem. I usually keep my master volume around 30%, but when I pause and resume videos it goes up to 100%. Volume controls still shows it at 30%, but it's really loud until I adjust the volume slightly then it is normal again. Right now, I just volume down and up quickly every time I pause my video, but it would be nice to have a permanent fix.
I've looked through google for answers. A lot of people have this problem, but no one seems to know the exact cause. The most logical one I can find right now, is that my realtek drivers are clashing with windows 10. I've tried reinstalling the audio drivers, but the ones on the republic of gamers website are pretty out of date (2014 or something). I don't know if there are more updated drivers I can get somewhere else to try to solve this problem.
Things I've tried:
reinstalling realtek drivers
uninstalling drivers and letting windows install them
disabling enhancements in playback properties
Using different video players (main one is VLC)
If anyone has any ideas what I can do, I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks!
