Hi Tom's Hardware!

I need your help picking out parts for a $1000 gaming PC! All I ask is it has a 4670k and a Fractal Design Define R4 Titanium Case with window! I have tried this one many times without any luck. IF you can please try to squeeze in the following:
1. A water-cooler (closed loop)
2. SLI or Crossfire
3. SSD

I have done this build countless times but I cannot seem to find one that fits me, they seem to be repeating themselves. They all meet my "requirements" I just don't enjoy them.

Solution

Yes this is exactly the way I would go on such a budget, and what I did with my own personal build. Buy one GPU now and then when the second one comes down in price that's when you SLI / Crossfire.

If I had that budget this is what I would get:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K...
1. I wouldn't go for a closed loop cpu cooler. They are expensive, loud, and has a chance of leak. High end heatsinks can cooler just as good as most closed loop coolers.
2. At this price point, there's no point of SLI or crossfire. You can fit in a SLI/crossfire of weaker cards, but it's more advised to stick with a single strong gpu and SLI/crossfire in the future.

Overclocks extremely well. The Phanteks cooler performs just as well as the Corsair H100.
Included a SSD for os/games.
Define R4 Titanium Gray with Window. You can save $30 if you opt for the Black version of the csae.
Allows for crossfire in the future.
