1000$ is enough for 1080p

Take another hd 7970 and you have a 1500$ pc which has enough power for 3x1080p

Dont forget to take the Wattage into account which you will need a PSU ranging between 700-750 take that price difference into account as well. Give him more options or tell him things he can do or change depending on how he wants his Rig to be. Who knows maybe he doesnt want to CF, maybe he does. Gotta get his input and consider what the OP wants 😀
