hey guys! This is the first pc build I have ever made, so I'm sorry if it looks bad. I put it together in about 20 minutes, so please post a comment if there is something wrong. I love in Australia, and my budget is around $1000 (AUD) give or take a few hundred.

I am using pc case gear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php
to get all of my computer components.

here is my build: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_list...

I will not be overclocking until I am ready to do so. I have put an aftermarket fan in the build for the future.

advice is appreciated, and I do not mind any recommendations.

Purchase date: hopefully next week.

Budget Range: $1000 (AUD). I would like to save as much money as possible.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, recording (fraps, etc), commentating, streaming/live streaming, movies, producing music, cd's, pretty much everyday stuff.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes. Preferably 21.5" to 22". I would like you to recommend a good monitor from $100 (AUD) - $150 (AUD)

Parts to Upgrade: everything. I will need some help to see if my build is good for gaming.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, i will be buying windows 7 home premium as the OS, as windows 8 is meant for PHONES not COMPUTERS.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: pc case gear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php
(they have the cheapest prices for Australian users).

Location: Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia. I will be buying all of my components from pc case gear, as there is no parts shop where I live, that are cheap.

Parts Preferences: I would like to keep with the AMD preference, as I here they are the best for budget builds. (I am not a fanboy, and do not want this feed to become a battlefield for INTEL/AMD enthusiasts).

Overclocking: Definately not for the time being.

SLI or Crossfire: No, not needed

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: none, unless you have something to say.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I am upgrading because my laptop is not the best choice for gaming. I have the HP ENVY14 SPECTRE (you can search up the specs and correct me if I am wrong).

Please read the above I would like to see a post about the monitor

Thank you

I am terribly sorry. But it seems my entire account has Ben wiped clean :O
I will make a new wish list of what I had.
But from what I can see yours is a lot better suited than mine.
Also could you recommend a good monitor between $100 - $150?
And a good budget cpu cooler. I will be paying for the monitor and is separately from the build.
Also, there are three Gpus for the same price. Should I go for Msi, sapphire, or go with your powercolour one?

Thank you

A Cooler Master Hyper TX3 will fit in your rig - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18944 . Its cheap but great. I am using a Water cooler ATM ( Corsair H60 ) If you can spend on a water cooler , why not ? And for the monitor , this will be good - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1212&products_id=19200 . Its 20bucks more than your budget , but is worth that 170 Price tag. Also buy the Sapphire one , PCpartpicker didn't show me that one. Sorry 😛 And about the 7870 XT its almost a 7950 , thats why don't buy a 7870 , buy a 7870XT and later on CrossFire if you want to.

<<<<<<Drop the screen
And replace the hd 7950 with the hd 7870 XT>>>>>>

That's still a tad bit expensive, but I'll recommend it to my othe friend, he's got a $1200 budget :).

I think I will stick with the amd build. The fx 8350 seems to be good for te price :)

I would still like to get some advice about an $800 budget build though.
