Thank You in advance,

im not saying u r lying .. just that it's illegal 😀
but it's not my concern where u get money .. but how u spend it 😀
otherwise build looks good but remember that at microcenter u can get z68 mobo and i5-2500k with 40$ off
also im not sure how u plan on fitting all this into 1100
and that PSu is not enough for future sli of 580

I actually have never worked over 20hrs a week anyway hmmmm...
yes thank you for your advice I understand 1100 is not enough for a gtx580 that is why i am working during the school year to earn about 500$ and when when (if) i ever sli 580's i will upgrade the psu

What games are you planning to play with and at what resolution? The GTX 580 might be overkill (might be cheaper to just get 2x GTX 560Ti or get one now and see if you need another later).

Since I don't know exactly the reason behind each choice, I can only suggest alternatives you can ponder:
Case: Graphite 600T
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw X (Dominator is overpriced)
MB: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Seems to have the same features, but cheaper)

You've got the right idea, but there are some things you might want to think about.

The professional series PSU is more than you need. To save a little money maybe look at:
Corsair Enthusiast Series Modular 750W - $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139030
Corsair Enthusiast Series Non-Modular 750W - $110
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021

The Samsung Spinpoint F3 is a better choice for the same price. Same performance, twice the capacity, and quieter.

You'll want to buy different RAM. With sandy bridge you want to go with 1.5V RAM (your ram is 1.65V). Also, you can get 8GB of ram at about $55. Today's good deal is G.Skill Ripjaw X Series for $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428
but the price of memory fluctuates a lot. Look for 1600mhz, cas latency 9, 1.5V, 8GB (2x4GB) ram with a decent brand.

The case you picked is nice, but you can get a really good gaming case for closer to $80-$100 which will take a smaller bite out of your budget.

The mobo you picked is a good choice, but an alternate you might want to check out is the ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 for $125
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271
It has a weak port cluster and there's no usb 3.0 header on the board, but it's a good gaming board at a good price. (By 'good' I mean it supports x8/x8 sli and it has PCIe 3.0 x16 for ivy bridge.)

I do agree the graphite is a nice case but for me it is really a personal opinion for liking the haf x, the ram was chosen almost at random so i agree, lastly the price difference does not seem significant to warrant changing the mobo i picked out.
thank you for your advice!

Also almost exactly the same reply to dan

SEE!

I can understand that, I got the HAF X, it's a beast :). I'm suggesting the 600T simply because it's a bit nicer than the HAF for the cable management.

So how much would the power bill be over my 300 watt system? Enough for my parents to care?

It's hard to quantify without knowing how often you use it and what they pay for kilowatt hour, but basically it will barely rise compared to the cost of powering a whole house and your parents probably won't notice the difference.

Go to the Nvidia forums, EVGA forums, etc... 750w psu doesn't even come close to pushing two of those cards in SLI. Now if you want to burn up your psu in no time flast, then ya, I would say go for dual 580's and a 750w psu.

well with ur 750 psu running at 90% of it's capacity it will be probably 60% efficient so it will pull of the wall 1250W which is 4 times more then ur current system
kinda like a microwave .. running all day .. will be probably extra 20-40$ again hard to say depending on whole energy consumption

Each 100W is 2.4kWh/day if the PC runs 24h/day so if the price is 0.10$/kWh, then ~0.24$/day/100W and ~90$/year/100W. However the system doesn't draw 100% power all the time anyway, but even if it draws only 200W idling, then yes, 24/7 operation will cost close to 200$/year. If you bother to close the PC when you don't use it, it can drop by 33-66% easily. You can also argue that for at least 6 month per year, your PC is also heating the house during winter, so not 100% of that power is wasted 😛.

For heating? It does a bit; my computer room is in the basement and when I come out during the winter, the rest of the basement is a tad cooler. Then again, I'm probably responsible for part of that heat, my body temps being above average. As for my system's spec:

CPU: Intel i5-2500K (@4.5Ghz)
