  • Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime in November
  • Budget Range: Around $1000, more or less.
  • System Usage from Most to Least Important:
    • Drawing (with a tablet monitor)
    • Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Maybe some light video editing (Premiere)
    • Gaming (very least important)
  • Are you buying a monitor: Yes, probably a Huion tablet monitor but I'm open to suggestions
  • Parts to Upgrade: Fresh build
  • Do you need to buy OS: Yes (Windows 10)
  • Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com but that's not definitive.
  • Location: West suburbs of Chicago
  • Parts Preferences: No preference
  • Overclocking: No
  • SLI or Crossfire: No preference (I barely know what that is)
  • Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (open to suggestions)
  • Additional Comments: Would prefer a compact form factor but that's a very low priority preference. We'll probably only use one monitor (the tablet) but I do have a spare monitor so the possibility of plugging in a second would be nice.
  • Why?: This computer will be for my daughter who is seriously into art and now getting into digital art.

I didn't include the monitor just to see if you're willing to go that far. How old is your daughter? If she's doing some high level of work you should look at some large IPS panels.
