Hi so for a while now I've been researching and asking question on pretty much this same topic. I'm trying to build a PC for around $1000 and I want to be able to play SC2/Diablo 3/ Guild Wars 2 and possibly an up to date FPS. I also want to make this pc as long lasting as possible. This is what I put together, but I'd like some opinions.
Case: Antec 300 - $60
Motherboard: MSI P67-GD65 - $170
CPU: Intel i5 Sandy Bridgge 2500k - $220
Cooler: Hyper 212 plus - $30
Memory: G. skill Ripjaw(2x4GB) $55
Video: MSI 560 Ti twin frozr II/OC - $245
PSU: Corsair TX850 - $135
HDD: Samsung spinpoint f3 - $60
Optical: Samsung - $19
Total = $994
after Rebate - $939
Eventually I had planned to add a second twin frozr as well as an SSD, but I'd like it to run fine without for now.
