Long time i didn't build a PC, so any advice is very appreciated :)
I don't know anymore which socket i should use, motherboard, same for the PSU 500W ? 600W? i'm lost on the new stuff.

Approximate Purchase Date: end of august

Budget Range: 800 - 1000 $ max.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming Battlefield 3 mostly.

Parts NOT Required: Monitor (i have 27" DELL U2711), dvd drive, mouse, keyboard, big hardrive, already have windows 7 64.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca, ncix.ca, tigerdirect.ca

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: GTX 570 ? or better? (i'm cool with ATI also), i5 or i7 processor, Crucial 64gb SSD.

Overclocking: No, i'm a noob :)

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: my Dell can go at 2560x but i can play at 1600 or 1900px

Additional Comments: The most important is stability and performance for gaming. I can go to the cheapest case, i don't really care about this.

Thank you very much :)

is 620w or even 550w enough to power a gtx 580 with all of the given parts? I would be a little scared running a computer like that. But the gtx 580 is a really good part in a $1000 build.

That antec 620w will push that 580 with ease. :)

bozboz that is basically the same build I will be making. I have a different motherboard though. So instead of buying a gtx 580 frozII, I will be getting a pny gtx 580. Same thing really, both great cards imo.
