~$1000 Gaming Laptop? Does that exist?

Dear World,

I'm looking for a gaming laptop that costs around ~$1000.

I do have certain requirements that I'd like to be met:
(When you list a pc PLEASE tell me what requirements it fulfills and which one it does not)
-8gb ram
-HD
-15.6"
-Nicely Design (THIN!)
-Lightweight
-(6-7)hour battery life (taking notes on word, surfing the web, NO GAMING)
-Able to play video games: (FPS, any games on medium settings)
-Quiet

Why Windows 7? If you know what you are doing you can make Windows 8 function identically...

I personally hate Windows 8.
I've had Windows Vista & 7 and I personally really like that design.

You can get a Lenovo Y50 With a GTX 860m and a i7 4700HQ for under $1000. And also, Your not going to be able to find a laptop out there with Windows 7. If you find a gaming laptop with windows 7. Its going to be an older Gaming laptop.

You have 2 problems with the things you have asked for:

1. The os - Newer laptops no longer come with this os anymore which means the gpu will be old and may not be able to handle current games very well.

2. The battery life - I don't know of any gaming laptop that has 7 hours of battery life while playing a game.

Okay, forget Windows 7 then.

As for the battery life, I don't want to 7 hours of gaming time, I simply want to be able to get through a day at school taking some notes

Well, good luck finding a new, current generation gaming laptop with Windows 7 with the specs you are asking for. Bring back a unicorn while you are at it.

This meets every criteria i think.
I am not sure about the battery life but it should be able to get at least 3 - 4 hours of normal usage.
Also, I am not sure about the sound either while playing games as I have never used a barebones laptop before.
