Hello,
I'm building my first gaming PC and was hoping to get some input on my build. I'm very open to suggestions and would appreciate any input.
Here's my build so far:
CPU: AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5 GHz
GPU: ?????
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 AMD AM3+
RAM: G SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16 GB (2x8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1866 MHz
SSD: SanDisk 128GB SATA III 2.5” Internal SSD
HDD: Western Digital WD10EZEX 1 TB 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache 3.5” Internal HDD
PSU: ?????
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Gunmetal Edition
Optical Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Burner
My budget for the build is $1000. The running total cost of the parts I've picked out so far is $687.23, which leaves $312.77 for a graphics card and power supply, but I'm willing to spend a little more than that if need be.
In terms of gaming I was hoping to play games like Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, and other graphics intensive games on high settings. I was also hoping for this build to last at least two years before I have to upgrade.
I'm really unsure what graphics card to get. I was interested in getting an AMD card, maybe the new R9 280X or the HD 7950. Only problem is it seems that most of AMD's higher-end cards are out of stock and are only available at almost double the list-price. I'm also not sure how much power I'd need for this build.
Again, any input at all would be very much welcome. Thanks!
